1. Who we are
Torvan Stores ("we", "us") operates an online marketplace connecting Nigerian buyers with independent sellers. Using the site means you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
Every account starts as a buyer account, verified by a one-time code sent to your email — we never ask for a password. You may later apply to sell (subject to review) or become a reseller (instant, self-service). You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since it's how we verify you.
3. Escrow & "Split Pay"
When you pay for an eligible order, your money is held by Torvan Stores in escrow — not paid to the seller — until your order is confirmed delivered. Eligible orders may be paid in three installments (60% / 20% / 20%) over 60 days instead of in full; the item ships only once every installment has cleared. Prices shown include VAT.
4. Sellers
Sellers list and fulfil their own products. Torvan Stores is not the seller of record for marketplace items and is not responsible for product quality, except where we hold funds in escrow pending delivery. Torvan Stores takes a platform fee on each sale, disclosed to sellers before listing.
5. Resellers
A reseller shares a unique link to a product; a purchase made through that link within the attribution window earns the reseller a commission, disclosed on the product. Self-referrals and purchases of your own listings do not earn commission.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not list prohibited or counterfeit goods, misrepresent a product, attempt to defraud another user or Torvan Stores, or circumvent escrow by arranging payment outside the platform. Torvan Stores may suspend an account or remove a listing at its discretion for a breach of these terms.
7. Liability
Torvan Stores is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
